BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: As a junior in 2013-2014, Matt played his third season of basketball at Baldwin Wallace University.

GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION:   In his first three seasons in the Brown & Gold, Matt has appeared in 48 games, including 23 starts, scored 185 points and grabbed 194 rebounds. He has helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 49-29 record.

As a freshman in 2011-2012, Matt played first season of basketball and earned his first varsity letter. He split time between the varsity and junior varsity at forward.  Matt appeared in 11 games and scored six points and grabbed six rebounds. BW finished 16-10 overall. 

As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Matt played his second season of basketball and earned his second letter. After missing the first half of the season, he played in 10 games and scored 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and had two assists and five steals. Matt scored a season-high six points in a 70-54 win at John Carroll University on Feb. 6.

As a junior in 2013-2014, Matt played his third season of basketball and earned his third letter. He was the starting small forward, appeared in all 27 games, including 23 starts, and averaged 6.1 points and a team-leading 6.3 rebounds-per-game. He also had 13 assists, 21 steals and a team-leading 40 blocked shots. Matt had his first career double-double with 19 points and career-high 13 rebounds in a 90-63 win versus Otterbein University in Berea on January 4, 2014. He posted a career-high 21 points in an 89-73 win on January 18 against Muskingum University in Berea. BW finished 14-13 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Matt Dennis grew up in Spring Hill, Florida and graduated from Nature Coast Technical High School. Matt played basketball and ran track for two years each. He earned two varsity letters in basketball.

As a junior, Matt was named first-team All-Hernando County and honorable mention All-North Suncoast Conference. As a senior, he was named first-team All-Hernando County and first-team All-NSC. He also was named as the Nature Coast Technical H.S. Most Valuable Player and was selected to play in the Henando County All-Star Game.

Academically, Matt was a four-year member of the Honor Roll and received an Academic Achievement Award.
