HIRAM, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving teams defeated Hiram College, 323-210, and defeated NCAA Division II Notre Dame College of Ohio, 290-198, in the third and final round of the Second Annual Cleveland College Dual Meet Championships in the Alumni Memorial Pool. BW finished with a 3-1 record in the duals.
The BW men defeated Hiram, 133-107, and beat Notre Dame, 128-83.
The men were led by freshman Jacob Burk (Bowling Green) as he won the 1500-meter freestyle in a time of 17:12.61, 200-meter butterfly in 2:39.1 and 400-meter freestyle in 4:29.87. Sophomore Justin Allison (Napoleon) placed first in the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:12.3. Sophomore Nathan Onchuck (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South) won the 100-meter butterfly in a time of 1:08.91.
The 200-meter medley relay team of sophomore Nick Mossing (Napoleon), senior Bryan Hitch (Lakewood), Onchuck and Allison finished first in a time of 1:59.27.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, November 16 when they travel to Erie, Pennsylvania for a non-league dual meet at Penn State Behrend University at 1 p.m. The next home meet is on December 14 when BW women host NCAA Division II Ursuline University in the BW Natatorium 12 p.m..
