AKRON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving teams stand in remain in sixth place after the two days of competition at the three-day Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Swimming & Diving Meet at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium. BW is the host school.
The Yellow Jacket men have 189 points and are sixth of seven teams. Ohio Northern leads both the women's and men's standings.
The BW men were led by freshman Jacob Burk (Bowling Green) who finished third in the 400 IM in a season-best time of 4:19.35. Burk had the fourth fastest qualifying time in prelims with 4:21.35. Sophomore Justin Allison (Napoleon) took fourth in the 100 breast with a season-best mark of 59.66. He had the sixth fastest time of 1:00.58 in the prelims. Junior Bryan Gerber (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia) was ninth in the 100 breast with a season-best time of 1:00.24.
The Yellow Jackets compete in the final day of competition on Saturday, February 15 with the prelims at 10 a.m. and the finals at 6 p.m.
