BW Women Swimming Falls To Ohio Wesleyan

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving teams opened the 2013-2014 season by losing to visiting Ohio Wesleyan University in the BW Natatorium in the Lou Higgins Center. 

The BW women were defeated by the Battling Bishops, 123-116.

The women were led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC standout Angela Musille (Canton /GlenOak) who won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time 1:10.22.

In addition, sophomore Chandler Ashbaugh (Napoleon) won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:04.37, senior Emma Gerdes (Avon) won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:05.18, sophomore Maddie Fortune (Akron /Firestone) won the 1-meter optional dive with a score of 203.55 points, freshman Alice Clark (Fairview Park /Fairview) won the 1-meter voluntary dive with a score of 150.00 points, and the 200-yard medley relay team of Gerdes, Musille, Ashbaugh and freshman Emilee Sebestyen (Mentor) won 1:56.90.

The Yellow Jackets return to action tomorrow afternoon when they open 2013-2014 Ohio Athletic Conference action against Wilmington College in the BW Natatorium at 4 pm.
